Search Assignments

Often referred to as 'headhunting', this description is often misapplied. Beware those that only search their database and call it Search. Search involves detailed research to identify target companies and individuals. This is followed by a discussion, ('verbal advertisement'), with those individuals identified as potential candidates. Following these detailed discussions - in complete confidence- a shortlist will be produced. A descriptive sheet is available, on Search, should you require more information.

This is a methodical and discreet way of making 'key players' aware of an opportunity that could be of benefit to them. These are people who may not be actively in the recruitment market.

Advertised Selection

Most appropriate in markets where it is difficult to target potential candidates. Timescale aimed for, to produce a shortlist, is 20 working days.

Benefits include:

  • You can include a salary and benefits, something often politically difficult to mention when advertising under your own company name. Salary is one item that is most likely to attract candidates to read your advertisement.
  • The advertisement will appear under the name of a recognised recruitment consultancy. Many candidates prefer to reply through a third party, allowing them to act in confidence. This often results in a higher response than if a company advertises itself.
  • Advertising copy is written by us. We book and purchase media space and work closely with our in-house advertising associate.
  • You will never pay advertising costs above rate card. There will be a nominal artwork fee.
  • This method can also, on occasions, assist corporate branding and communication

There may be occasions when your requirements fall short of asking us to undertake a full search or selection assignment. Nevertheless, you may have a clear need for assistance in one or more specific stages of your recruitment activity, or wish to have a general discussion before embarking upon it.

The Service

  1. Face to face briefing
  2. Preparation of company, job, candidate and remuneration specifications
  3. Preparation of advertising copy, with media recommendations. This in conjunction with our in-house advertising associates
  4. Screening candidate response to 'paper select' those who appear relevant and to arrange face to face meetings.
  5. Conduct candidate interviews
  6. Create a shortlist, with notes on each candidate, to be interviewed  by the client. Arrange and administer the schedule on behalf of the client
  7. Liaise with candidates and client to 'offer & acceptance'
  8. Stay in contact with client and appointed candidate in order to offer 'after sales' service if required
